The castle of Valprivas was erected in the XNUMXth century instead of an old "castellum and oppidum" whose traces date back to the XNUMXth century. Guided tour only by appointment by email.
It was remodeled in the XNUMXth century in the style of the Italian Renaissance. The castle chapel was consecrated at the end of the XNUMXth century and you can admire a Resurrection and Hell there, created at the beginning of the XNUMXth century by Flemish artists from the school of Primaticcio and Rubens. The castle currently houses concerts and art exhibitions.
