An area with multiple outdoor leisure activities
The activities offered by the Ponds on the banks of the Loire are in connection with the nature that surrounds them. : A nature mini golf and flowery, accessible from 3 to 99 years old, in 9 holes; Of the treasure hunts suitable for toddlers (3 to 6 years old) who take place outside around the ponds, in the open air, to the delight of little darlings; 5 escape games for budding adventurers and investigators ages 7-99. ; And finally, a open-air laser tag for thrill seekers, accessible from 6 years old: the Emb'Lazer Game. Brief. A real paradise of leisure and greenery!
For those who prefer the calm of a wild and preserved nature: the 1,7 km ride around the two ponds of the site are also open to the public during the opening hours of the domain. A beach is also reserved for customers of the restaurant who love lazing around!
Organic and local products on the tables of La Paillotte
Indeed, in case of a little peckish, Laurence and Sébastien welcome and serve good "homemade" dishes in their atypical bar restaurant “La Paillotte”. A catering area for lunch, dinner or a snack in the open air around ice cream, grilled meats, salads and homemade burgers. All cooked with organic and local products : ice cream from Ferme Pays de Vergezac, Torrilhon charcuterie from Saint-Victor-d'Arlanc, Motueka craft beer from Brives-Charensac, trout from Vourzac, bread from Lilian Pradier in Rosières, Salers steaks from the Domaine from Sinzelles to Blavozy, beef in the Limousine from Velay, from the Gros family to the GAEC des Orchidées…. In short, “we want to support local producers by favoring short circuits”.
In practice: dishes prepared with quality local products can be eaten on the spot or taken away, from mid-April to mid-September, by reservation at 06.50.98.62.25 (no take-out orders after 19 p.m.).
Sustainable tourism: a preserved environment with multiple labels
And their good resolutions don't stop there… Their credo is also and above all respect for the environment. An axis that they maintain and do not fail to pass on to their visitors. Their multiple labels bear witness to this: LPO refuge, ecotourism site, Respirando label, Natura 2000 area and ZNIEFF (Natural area of ecological, faunal and floristic interest). The Etangs du Bord de Loire combine preservation of biodiversity and leisure for all, thanks to activities with almost no environmental impact and very energy efficient.
Laurence and Sébastien also favor maintenance of the site in total harmony with the fauna and flora that surround them: creation of nesting boxes, dry hedges, regular planting of endemic species, preservation of spaces for biodiversity... "Since its creation, our company has the will to adapt to its environment and not the other way around”, emphasizes Laurence Faure.
