In the forest, it is a rural and modern bookstore but also a cellar-wine bar. We read there, we drink there, we live there. You can take the time to choose from the 5000 books on display while drinking a tea, a coffee, a glass of wine or a beer.
The bookstore is independent, and generalist, with particular attention paid to ecology, the garden, degrowth, the literature of the great outdoors, in short, everything that can inspire us and help us to think and do the world differently, to the little ones as well as the big ones.

The wine cellar-bar is guaranteed without pesticides or GMOs, and offers wines from winegrowers who are attentive to their vines, their environment, and the landscapes they create. There you will find wines from Forez to Sicily, via Austria, Germany, Italy, a way of abolishing borders and broadening the palate. And of course, you can drink fruit juices, coffees, teas.
In the forest, it is also, above all, a novel by Jean Hegland, published by Gallmeister, who are our beautiful wild godmothers, arriving covered in snow, their hair blowing in the Montana winds, to lean over the cradle of the bookstore and add myrrh, frankincense and wrenches. Thanks to them!
In the forest took on the features of a greedy squirrel thanks to Emilie Vast, illustrator dear to our hearts, godmother of sweetness. Thanks to her!

The bookstore Dans la forêt is located at La Chaise-Dieu, a plateau of altitude, six hundred inhabitants, and thousands of surrounding trees. It is a rural and modern bookstore and it is also a cellar-wine bar. We read there, we drink there, we live there.
