Sailing in the waters of the Allier

Shaped by the basaltic plateaus of the Volcanic Velay and those of the granitic Margeride, the Gorges de l'Allier are a paradise for active holidays in the heart of nature. A hundred kilometers await us for getaways by canoe or kayak in the middle of one of the last wild rivers in Europe. We follow the salmon swallowing along its route and a myriad of perched villages such as St-Arcons d'Allier, the Chapelle Ste-Marie des Chazes or the sandy beach of Prades overlooked by its basalt organs.

Sail along the Loire

The Gorges de la Loire take us for a day to discover a fauna and flora very specific to this sector. There too, you have the choice between a hundred kilometers alternating between deep gorges and sandy or pebble beaches. We see the first castles of the Loire under the astonished gaze of wild birds. You can rent a canoe, a kayak to navigate independently or ask to be accompanied by a guide.

“Recommended” accommodations

“Come into our house, and breathe: we take care of everything.”, such is the promise of the Respirando hosts.

Lovers of the Haute-Loire, they will make you discover their territory and share their passion for outdoor activities.
