Starting from the village of La Chaise-Dieu, the GR travels to Lake Malaguet, then the medieval village of Allègre facing the Strombolian volcano of Mont Bar, the castle of La Rochelambert, the collegiate church of Saint-Georges and the Gallo museum. castle of Saint-Paulien, the feudal castle of Polignac and Mont Baury follow one another in a row, culminating in the arrival in the town of Puy-en-Velay.
