The Department of Haute-Loire provides active support, through the Departmental House for Tourism Development, to the organization of the “Departmental competition for towns and villages in bloom”.
The purpose of this Competition is to reward the actions carried out by local authorities in favor of the embellishment and flowering of public or private spaces, built heritage, parks, town centers and the creation of an environment favorable to welcome and stay, both locals and tourists.
In general, all efforts contributing to the image of a welcoming and flowery Department are rewarded. The Jury establishes the departmental prize list for flowering after visiting the municipalities. It selects the municipalities it deems likely to compete at regional level to obtain the first “flower”.
