Auzon – Petite cité de caractère

At the crossroads of the plain of Limagne and the slopes of Livradois, Auzon deploys its medieval remains, including some "historical monuments".
Built on a rocky promontory, the village is overlooked by the XNUMXth century Romanesque church of St Laurent. The wall of the collegiate church houses an engraved funerary inscription dating from the Gallo-Roman era. Many marks still bear witness to past activity such as the remains of the fortified castle, the outer fortifications, the Porte de Brugelet, the towers, the narrow streets, etc.

The Auzon ecomuseum presents nearly 800 authentic objects between popular traditions and crafts and in a more original way.
