Spring is well established, the flora in full bloom making the landscapes breathtaking! This is the perfect opportunity to introduce you to the famous "Via Podiensis GR 65" path to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle by completing the first 23km stage from Puy-en-Velay.
This magnificent city with a unique heritage is the historical starting point of this thousand-year-old pilgrimage.

During this stay you will have the opportunity to discover Le Puy-en-Velay and its historic center with its cobbled streets, colorful facades and numerous monuments. And to complete the first stage of the path like thousands of pilgrims over the last ten centuries.

Program :

• Day 1: Arrival and installation at your hotel.

Discovery of Puy-en-Velay, stroll in the heart of a thousand-year-old city... an exceptional volcanic site. City of pilgrimages and Marian sanctuary.

Overnight at your hotel

• Day 2: After breakfast, departure for the hike on the Way of Saint-Jacques (GR 65 – Via Podiensis).

Average walkers
Hike Le Puy-en-Velay / Montbonnet: 17 km – 3h30 to 4h30 walking + breaks

Return to Le Puy-en-Velay by shuttle bus, 2 possibilities:

17:00 p.m.: St Privat d’Allier

17:15 p.m.: Arrival at Le Puy-en-Velay
