Arlette and Marc have an identity of plastic ceramists, installed in a contemporary research. They create unique sculptural pieces, architectural works and practice the techniques of raku, stoneware and porcelain.
Arlette and Marc Simon, sculptors-ceramists present their work in their gallery and organize workshops in their studio.
Arlette Simon reveals to us, through her pieces, what is happening inside their sinuous volumes. The artist reveals to us a multitude of possibilities offered by ceramics. Like a laboratory assistant, she carries out tests, the results of which feed her research, allowing her to go even further.
Marc Simon invents a new mythology from his readings, his travels, his imagination, his knowledge of History and Art History. However, this figurative expression evolves again towards simplified volumes: more sculptural and less narrative pieces.

Portrait
From Saint-Etienne, we chose to live in the countryside, in Chambon-sur-Lignon. We first settled in an old school, then in 2002 at the Maison des Roches where we continue our research around the earth material. We create unique sculptural pieces, architectural works and practice the techniques of raku, stoneware and porcelain.
