The GTHL has everything a great one has to offer! Since 2021, it has joined the club of the most beautiful long crossings in France labeled FFC.
A 620 km route offering an elevation gain of 13.000m, designed for mountain bikers and muscular mountain bikers and an adventure of 10 to 15 days. The route overhangs on certain stages the gorges of the Loire and also skirts the Allier.

Interconnected between the 10 VTT-FFC spaces spread over the Haute-Loire department, covering sections of the GTMC (Grande Traversée du Massif Central) and the GTA (Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche). You can reach the gates of Aurec/Loire, Brioude and Le Puy-en-Velay, towns also accessible by TER, in soft mode, via greenways and cycle routes.

We give you 5 reasons to test the Grande Traversée de la Haute-Loire
