Pradelles, the southern part! Due to its location at the southern end of the department on the mountainous plateau which separates Velay, Vivarais and Gévaudan, Pradelles, classified as one of the "Most beautiful villages in France" is one of the gateways to Haute-Loire from Occitania.

Pradelles, at the crossroads

Committed to the Regordane way, going from Puy-en-Velay to Saint-Gilles-du-Gard, or following other paths, a whole people of merchants, pilgrims, soldiers, churchmen, lords… but also brigands, cross paths in Pradelles. The convoys of muleteers are legion there, transporting wine and fruit from the valley, grain, wool and cattle from the mountains.

Nowadays, the hall square with its covered galleries and generally various elements such as old fortifications, facades of mansions, doors, tower, corner turret, porch, testify to the prosperity of the place which also had a military and religious role. From the public garden, one can observe the vast body of water of Naussac.
